Pelvic Floor Therapy
Interventions and Beyond
I am fairly fluid by nature and will incorporate a variety of interventions. I work with the intention of helping you to feel more connected to your body while providing you with new inspiration on how to manageably incorporate the resonant take-aways from our session into your daily life. Traditional pelvic floor rehab interventions, such as exercises and internal assessment and treatment are in the toolbox at Liberate Pelvic Health. Beyond that, we also include more classic Occupational Therapy interventions such as sensory integration, postural awareness, dynamic retraining of breath, and environmental modifications to supplement the traditional outpatient musculoskeletal rehab approach that pelvic floor therapy has its roots in. Addressing what’s going on outside of the pelvis in addition to what’s going on within the pelvis is instrumental in addressing the whole person, and impact that pelvic health concerns are having on quality of life and function in meaningful activities. Rachel is also trained in yoga, craniosacral therapy, and trauma-informed care. Check out the blog section to read more about craniosacral therapy and what Holistic Pelvic Health means at Liberate Pelvic Health.
